Hello Misty - Welcome to the site.

This is not an easy question to answer, and this is one of the reasons that I set up this forum.

If you have a nice little sum of money, how do you invest it, so that it is working hard for you?

Personally I have invested a small amount in share, and this is making me a better return than a high intrest account., see Johnny's Shares

Hopefully as others join this site, you will gain even more good advice.

Thanks Johnny,

I have always been slightly concerned about placing funds in shares - I never have time to read the FT to track shares and see which are up and doing well - more importantly to track if they are moving down.

The property market interests me more, what would you recommend?

Hello,

I agree with Johnny that shares can make you money, but you also take the risk of losing money depending on the length of your investment.

We are in the business of buying and selling properties and have several investors who earn 1% per month (12% AER ) on their money and the investments range from 6 months to 2 years.

We always guarantee the return or secure your investment on the property.

For example, if you invested £20,000 with us for 1 year, you would walk away with £22,400 which you may choose to re-invest or spend on shoes! A building society Bond (which is the only other guaranteed investment) rarely offer half this amount of interest.

Hi Suzy

Thanks for that - is that return definitely guaranteed?

I have always been a bit dubious on the share front, placing funds into property, it is more likely to generate more income than shares.

Do you personally have any experience of this?

Hello, yes the return is guarenteed.

I have not personally invested, as I am quite young and not cash rich. My next step will be to re-mortgage my house and pull the equity out to invest in property.

I've also just read a post by Johnny regarding a 5 property investment that looks like a good deal. It would get you more involved in property and you would learn how to manage a property portfolio - might be worth looking into that as the returns will be much higher long term.
