I have unsecured debts of £16,000. I entered into a payment plan with Money Worries. After initial hiccups (my direct debit took time to sort out) I have been making monthly payments which my creditors had agreed to but now I am being chased by Triton Debt Collectors. What can I do? I am still making payments of £228 p.m

This is not unusual, as debts are often passed from one company to another.

Normally a DMC (Debt Management Company) will want to see all letters that you recieve from creditors. In the early stages as you get mail form creditors, this should be passed onto the DMC on a very regular basis. This will then allow the DMC to contact the new collection agency swiftly to prevent further hassle.

So to answer your question, get in touch with your DMC asap, inofrm them that a new debt collection company is chasing you, and they should sort this out for you.

I had the same Daft Bunny - infact a further collection agency chased me after the second one - so be warned the threatening letters will still keep coming. Johnny Debt is right the Debt Management Company will write to them in the hopeful prospect that they will stop chasing you once the offer of funds have been accepted.

Keep your chin up in the meantime.
