Just to inform you all that I am finding that those clients who are being taken bankrupt from a failed IVA are tending to have a face to face interview with the Official Receiver - even if they have no assets and live in rented.

If you are in an IVA and can no longer meet the agreed monthly payment, contact your IP and ask for a variation to be put forward to creditors. IVA can increase in length by 6 months in order to obtain the level of dividend required to complete the IVA.

Make sure you do this before you fall over 3 months in arreas. At this stage most IVAs are marked as unsatisfied.

Welcome to the site Oliver.

Thank you for your helpful feedback. Debt consultants often find that the 'larger' corporate IP's tend not to be so helpful with the clients interests at heart.

It is difficult pursuading them that the client is genuinely struggling and needs assistance. Any tips, apart from telling the clients story as it is?

Kind Regards
